SHELLY L. JONES LPCC

Shelly is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who is passionate and dedicated to supporting individuals and couples in their journeys towards healing, self-discovery, and personal growth. With a background in social work and counseling complemented by extensive experience in diverse clinical settings, Shelly strives to empower her clients to overcome life’s challenges and achieve holistic well-being. She believes it is an honor and a privilege when another person entrusts her with their story and journey. She will provide evidence-based interventions, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and is committed to fostering a safe, therapeutic, and non-judgmental environment for each of her clients.
Her clinical journey has spanned multiple settings, including positions in community mental health, substance abuse programs, and, lastly, providing services in a school district. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, and couples, providing individual and group therapy. Shelly realizes each person is unique in their personal experiences, history, and personality; therefore, she strives to utilize a person-centered approach, utilizing a variety of treatment approaches that are particular to the person being served. Shelly has experience treating people with psychotic disorders, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, anger issues, marital issues, adjustment to life changes, trauma, and substance use disorders. Her treatment modalities include CBT, DBT, reality therapy, existential therapy, solution-focused, mindfulness, Christian counseling, and strength-based approaches. She will use creativity and art as needed to foster a collaborative therapeutic relationship, as she values the autonomy of each individual.
Shelly is actively involved in her church, engaging in Bible studies, women’s ministry, and retreats. She enjoys reading, learning, hiking, being in nature, and exercises regularly as a form of stress release and taking care of oneself holistically. She cherishes making memories with family including two adult sons, a daughter-in-law, a grandson, and a new baby on the way.
