CYNTHIA GEIGER TURBITT, LSW
Cynthia (or Cindy) (she/her) is a licensed social worker and counseling intern who has joined us for the final phase of her training. She was born, raised, and has lived in Ohio for most of her life. She has lived in four other midwestern states during her school years, and lived out west in Montana for several years before returning back home to Ohio a year ago. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. Cindy is currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Counseling at Winebrenner Theological Seminary and is expected to graduate in July of 2024. Cindy is passionate about providing support and treatment to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has worked with troubled teens on probation with juvenile court, and has experience providing individual counseling to clients and families who struggle with trauma, self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, as well as work with foster children and families in home based counseling. Cindy is also a licensed social worker, and worked in long term care settings serving the elder population for 15 years before deciding to return to graduate school to complete her masters, Cindy uses a strength-based, holistic, intuitive, and collaborative approach. She will support, validate, and empower her clients in whatever way best serves them. She currently lives with her family in Tuscarawas county and enjoys the outdoors, her family and friends, exercise (she loves dancing!) and walks in the woods with her dog Bayli.
