Every effort is made to ensure that appointments are made which suit the individual's schedule, however, due to our counselors busy schedules your first few will be based on their availability. Appointments can be made by calling our office at (330) 343-6600 and speaking with our scheduling personnel. Office hours are Monday: 8:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday: 8:00 - 7:00 PM, Wednesday: 8:00 - 6:00 pm, Thursday: 8:00 - 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

Appointments can be made only by the person requesting service or by a parent or legal guardian of a minor who is in need of service. A family physician, attorney, or minister may also contact New Life Counseling directly to make a referral.

When you call in you will be sent a link to REGISTER as a client. Once that registration is received, we will create an account for you which will include a Client Portal access.  All of the forms necessary for your appointment will be loaded into your client portal. We will then send you out a link to access your client portal and you will be asked to complete all forms electronically through that portal. If you do not have access to a device that allows you to complete your paperwork electronically and wish to have the forms mailed to you to complete at home instead, we can arrange that for you.

HOW IT WORKS - YOUR FIRST CALL TO NLC

At New Life we want your counseling experience to be a positive one.  Our philosophy is that your journey begins with that first call.  We want to make sure we do everything we can to make you feel comfortable and know that you have chosen the right place to assist you in your therapeutic needs.

GATHERING BASIC INFORMATION

When you call our office, you will be greeted pleasantly by a member of our administrative staff.

  • First, they will ask you a number of questions to gather information, such as your name, date of birth, phone number and email address.

  • Secondly, they will ask you to give them a brief description of what may be going on that has led you to seek counseling. We need to have this information so that we can make a determination about which counselor will be best to work on the problem that you are presenting with.

INSURANCE & SCHEDULING

  • Next, they will need to know if you have insurance and will ask you for important information contained on your insurance card, so please have that card available before you call.

  • After you have given them your insurance information, they will schedule you for an appointment with one of our counselors on a day and time that works best with your schedule.

CONFIRMATION DETAILS

In the last part of the phone intake process, they will go over some very important instructions and give you information that is relevant to your scheduled appointment.

  • Confirm with you the date, day, and time of your appointment and will also reiterate the name of the counselor you will be meeting with.

  • Determine the best way for you to receive the required paperwork and will offer instructions for completing it.

  • Make sure to give you directions to our office and make sure you will be able to find it on the day of your appointment.

  • Advise you that you will receive a reminder 2 days prior to your scheduled appointment time.

  • Inquire if there is any other information you may need and remind you that if you have any questions regarding the paperwork or the counseling session before your appointment, you are welcome to call and we will do everything we can to answer your questions and assist you in the best way possible.
