Jen Hursey Avon is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Social Worker experienced in providing treatment to adults, children, and adolescents. She works with individuals and families, and has also facilitated therapy in group settings. She began her career in a domestic violence shelter providing individual and group therapy to survivors of domestic violence. She then transitioned to providing office, home- and school-based treatment to children, adolescents, and families. She has successfully worked with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-injurious behaviors, trauma, behavioral and academic issues, as well as grief and loss, adjustment disorders, ADHD, and substance abuse. Her approaches to treatment include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, play and sand tray therapies, as well as relaxation and stress management. She is a certified telehealth provider. Jen resides with her family in Tuscarawas County, and enjoys spending time attending her children's sporting events and doing photography.
