AARON LORENZO, LSW

Aaron Lorenzo is a licensed social worker (LSW) and chemical dependency counselor assistant (CDCA) with experience in substance use disorder counseling, mental health counseling, and pastoral care. He works with adults, couples, and families addressing a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress management, grief, trauma, addiction, marital and family issues, and life transitions. His specialty interests include military, veteran, and first responder issues; spiritually sensitive and faith-based care; grief, loss, and trauma-informed care; men's issues; and career development.

Aaron completed his Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Mental Health at Roberts Wesleyan University and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling and Psychological Studies at Regent University. He also holds a Master of Divinity in Chaplaincy from Ashland Theological Seminary and a Master of Science in Management with a Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership from Southwestern College. He completed Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina, as well as training in psychological first aid and skills for psychological recovery.

Aaron is a medically retired U.S. Army combat veteran with eleven years of active duty service, where he served as a chaplain assistant and non-commissioned officer. His military experience included providing care to deployed service members and their families, leading international community relations projects and humanitarian aid efforts, and supporting complex operational environments. These experiences have deeply informed his understanding of service, sacrifice, and resilience.
