LPCC/LISW

This Professional Counselor position requires the clinician to work in our Dover location with individuals and families to promote optimum mental and emotional health and wellbeing by helping them deal with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, and behavioral issues; family, parenting, and marital problems; stress management; self-esteem; grief; addictions and substance abuse; and other issues that may be presented. The candidate must have experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, individual, marital, and family therapy, and be comfortable utilizing Christian counseling principles to those individuals seeking that. The clinician would have the opportunity to quickly develop a part-time or full-time caseload.

Requirements:

  • The prospective candidate for this position must have a Master’s Degree in Counseling or a related field

  • Must be independently licensed with the State of Ohio as an LPCC, LISW, LPC, LSW or be independently license eligible

  • Must have a minimum of at least two years’ experience in providing counseling services in a clinical setting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluations for adults, adolescents, and children.

  • Provide diagnostic assessment, formulate diagnoses, and communicate individual treatment plans in conjunction with the client and other individuals as indicated and complete treatment plan updates as evidenced through clinical chart review

  • Assist clients in mobilizing their resources so they can participate in the exploration of a problem and its ramifications.

  • Participate in case reviews

  • Dedicated to providing very high-quality therapeutic services

New Life Counseling is a private group practice of psychologists, counselors, and social workers that has grown steadily over twenty years. We currently are practicing hybrid schedules of both in-office and telehealth appointments.

Our belief is that providing this level of support to the professionals working at our practice allows them the ability to devote their attention to delivering quality care. We have our own building in the downtown area of a small city surrounded by local rural areas, within driving distance of larger metropolitan areas.
