MICHELLE SKIRTICH, LPC

Michelle is a licensed professional counselor who is passionate about helping clients develop a healthy relationship with themselves and the world that surrounds them. Michelle received her Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and she also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ohio University.
Michelle works with adolescents and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, chronic illnesses/pain, and relationship issues. Michelle is particularly interested in the topics of relational trauma and shame, recognizing the profound impact they can have.
Michelle utilizes specific modalities such as person-centered therapy, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, relational life therapy, and existential therapy.
Her approach to therapy is trauma-informed, collaborative, and relational. She understands that therapy is an inherently vulnerable experience and supports her clients with unconditional curiosity, empathy, and honesty. Her hope is that clients leave their sessions with a deeper understanding of themselves, a sense of connectedness, and increased confidence to effectively respond to presenting challenges.
